Just wondering, but the name Openswif says to me "Open Source." Is this a fact? If so, you guys might want to start talking with us at UIRA (UIRA Isn't a Recursive Acronym) because we're making an Open Source Flash IDE ourselves.
Project page: http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/uira/
You can also use our IRC channel on irc.freenode.net, #uira
Anyways, if you use the IRC channel, look for goutnet. He's the project admin. We're a small project, so any contributions would be appreciated. Of course, I'm just a silly little graphical guy so I don't know if merging the projects is plausible (Especially since you're using GTK (right?) and we're using Qt) but it might be worth looking into.
If it's a stupid idea, please forgive me. _________________ Thanks,

We can base OpenSwif on Uria. It seems like a good program. The only thing is that the Windows version is not complete, yet.

You don't quite understand where we're at. Goutnet says we're beta, but I think he's crazy on that point. UIRA is quite alpha. Not yet functional, even in Linux. I have the Windows version installed and ready to run, but it is basically just a pretty UI. It doesn't do anything yet. As I said, we could use a few more devs. The few we have are busy most of the time...
Still, It looks to be a very good program when we're done.
Also, my fundamental question hasn't been answered: Is OpenSwif OpenSource? _________________ Thanks,

OpenSwif is vaporware at this point, so I guess you could call it public domain.
I've mentioned Uira as a possible project for people here to join a few times, though. |
