I saw the new update and I think we are on the right track (: I have noticed a couple things that we are in dire need of regarding the zoom tool though.

ZOOM TOOL:

  • Show entire screen button
  • Show actual pixels button (maybe save this one for later? :o)
  • I'm not sure how to explain this one but zoom in and try using the brush tool, line tool, or rectangle tool and you will understand
  • Zoom in with click
  • Zoom out

I'm also beginning to think we will need a menu bar soon.

Zooming is a LOT harder than I originally imagined.
Here's the issue: zoomed out, you can draw fine with integer coordinates. As soon as you zoom in, each pixel (on your screen) becomes a fraction of a "pixel" on the canvas. Integers aren't fractions... :| I'm going to have to stick with my original method which takes a bit longer.

That's alright! As long as you are getting it done then it doesn't seem to be much of a problem now does it? :3

I suggest googleing "Java Programming Zoom Tool Tutorial" or something like that..

EDIT: Something I have noticed is that in 0.09alpha, the ability to save as a Jpeg is taken away. You should probably get on this (:

HEY long time no see?

Anyway, the new versions are an improvement. I see you fixed that line bug.

Normally, primary colors are the colors inside the rectangle, not the outside line, so thats something to think about.
Ability to reverse the Zoom would be handy in later verisons, but is not really a priority.

Besides those, theres nothing really wrong, keep on going :)

I do agree with N.2 for the most part.. Although.. I do believe that zooming out is a very important feature. Without that, it kind of takes off the importance, or even ability to use the zoom tool because you would have to restart the program every time..

EDIT: I just thought of something. You should definitely include an option for pixel-based games and movies, not just vector. Maybe not bitmap, but something like that.. Just an idea though.
